Wanted: We are looking for a Technical Solutions Engineer ready and excited to take on the challenge of making Upright Platform the #1 impact data platform globally. The Upright Platform is currently used by 250+ institutional investment organizations and corporations, mainly in Europe and North America.
Technical Solution Engineers work closely with our customers and engineering teams to design scalable yet practical technical solutions for new and evolving customer needs. The goal is to ensure high-quality data is delivered to customers on time. These solutions often involve complex data integrations, transformations, analytics, and purpose-built tooling.
You’ll have the freedom to design your own solutions, always aiming for the smartest and most automated way to get things done. If you're interested, you can also play a key role in product discovery, helping turn successful customer-specific solutions into scalable features for all Upright customers.
This role is a great fit for a recent graduate eager to accelerate their growth in a fast-paced startup environment. The role will be tailored to fit the background, experience, skill level, and interests of the chosen person.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Producing customer-specific data exports using Upright’s data
- Writing scripts to modify input data and attributes for large batches of companies
- Writing scripts to preprocess raw customer data and align it with Upright’s data models
- Ensuring data quality at scale through analytics and AI-powered tools
- Contributing to data development initiatives, such as new integrations and improved data coverage
- Creating clear, customer-facing documentation to support self-serve access to Upright’s data
SIGNS FOR BEING A GREAT MATCH WITH THIS ROLE INCLUDE:
- Work experience after university studies, preferably in the field of engineering, STEM, economics, or similar
- Proficiency with SQL and Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A strong sense of ownership and urgency - you focus on what matters most and get things done, even under tight deadlines
- Solid track record of internal passion for excellence: you have gotten things done clearly better than what was required/expected from you, as you enjoy doing things well
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
ADDITIONALLY, WE VALUE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with data integrations and REST APIs
- Familiarity with our platform’s tech stack (Node, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and React)
- Familiarity with company disclosures and financial data
