In this position, you'll start with a minimum of 3 work days a week. We expect that you would be able to join us for at least one year, preferably longer, and over time, there's potential for you to grow into roles focused on development or business growth.
Upright's mission is to make it financially more attractive to run a net positive company than a net negative one. From the very beginning, we have been committed to focusing on the big picture, while ensuring our data is backed by science, comparable and credible. Today, our Net Impact Platform is the world’s largest open-access impact database with over 10,000+ company profiles publicly available. As impact data becomes increasingly central in business decision-making, Upright's data is trusted by 200+ institutional investment organizations and corporations, predominantly in Europe and North America. And this is just the beginning of our journey.
In the analyst role, you will focus on modeling companies, which involves creating and analyzing impact data. This includes a range of tasks, such as identifying the core products and services of companies, mapping them on our platform, developing data models and datasets, ensuring data quality and troubleshooting issues, and delivering data to customers alongside our customer success managers. Quality data is Upright’s core product, and your contributions play a crucial role in increasing its value to users.

SIGNS OF BEING A GREAT MATCH FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

  • 4+ years of university studies, just graduating or recently graduated, preferably in the field of engineering, economics, or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • An excellent can-do attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
  • Excellent grades in mathematics in high school / university studies
  • Ability to find essential, most relevant points from large amounts of information
  • A structured and organized way of working
  • Proficiency in clear English communication, both written and verbal
  • A basic understanding of business models and supply chains is a plus!

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • A chance to join a quickly growing and highly ambitious impact SaaS company with a mission that matters
  • The opportunity to develop a keen understanding of the impact of various businesses, the sustainability data market, and data modeling that combines vast data sets and utilizes the newest AI-based tools
  • A fun and kind team with exceptional people who care about what they do
  • Exciting professional growth opportunities
  • Competitive compensation, including a comprehensive healthcare package
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Location: Helsinki, Finland.
Deadline: Candidates will be reviewed on a continuous basis and the role will be filled as soon as the right person(s) are found.
MISSION THAT MATTERS
Upright is on a mission to incentivize companies to optimize their net impact by enabling science-based decision-making for investors, customers, employees, and public sector agents. To do that, Upright develops a proprietary data model based on an open-access database of 200M+ scientific articles and artificial intelligence to quantify the net impact of companies on people, planet, society, and knowledge creation. In addition to net impact, Upright produces data on UN SDG alignment, EU taxonomy, and EU SFDR PAI indicators. Currently, our impact data platform is used by 200+ institutional investors and companies, such as Nasdaq, Nordea, EQT and Nokia.
