In this role, you’ll manage daily financial operations and support strategic financial planning. You'll oversee accounting processes, financial reporting, and budgeting activities while ensuring accurate financial management and compliance as we scale our innovative plant-based food operations.

Key responsibilities

• Financial Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. Ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping and transaction processing.

• Payroll Preparation & Management: Manage payroll processing including salary calculations, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions. Ensure compliance with German payroll regulations and coordinate with HR on employee compensation and benefits administration.

• Financial Reporting: Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Support management reporting and provide financial analysis for decision-making.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support budgeting processes and financial forecasting activities. Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide insights on financial performance against targets.

• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow position and coordinate with operations teams on payment scheduling and cash management. Maintain cash flow forecasts and support working capital optimization.

• Cost Accounting: Support in cost accounting processes including product costing, inventory valuation, and production cost analysis with data.

• Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls. Support audit processes and maintain documentation for regulatory and tax requirements.

• System Management: Work with and optimize financial systems such as SAP, Finway and Moss and related processes. Support ERP implementation and ensure data accuracy across platforms.

• Professional Experience: 3-4 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, food industry, or high-growth companies. Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and cost accounting.

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. CPA or relevant professional certification ideal.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems, finance platforms like Finway and Moss, accounting software, experience with payroll processing and German payroll regulations, experience with financial reporting and budgeting processes, knowledge of cost accounting and manufacturing finance, and strong Excel and financial modeling skills.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Experience with financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance reporting.

• Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills for financial reporting and cross-functional collaboration with operations, sales, and management teams.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of accounting standards, tax requirements, and financial compliance. Knowledge of food industry financial regulations preferred.

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
