Community and Operations Intern — Podero Lab (m/f/d)
Operations
Vienna, Austria
You will build and run the Podero Lab: our community of real device owners who let us test Podero on their actual hardware at home. This is one of the biggest bottlenecks between us and our mission right now, so the role matters. You will recruit members, be the human they trust throughout every test, and set up the systems that keep the community alive and growing. It is a build from scratch role with full ownership and real executive freedom, backed by our business and engineering teams.
What you'll do:
Work out where the right device owners are, then build the outreach and content that brings them in.
Recruit them. Most owners start out cautious, so your job is to make the case, build confidence, and bring them on board.
Own how Podero communicates once a test is live, keeping members informed about their devices, and build the process (potentially AI assisted) that keeps those updates flowing as the Lab grows.
Turn Lab members into lasting supporters of Podero, and deepen those relationships as owners expand their setups over time.
Build the systems and processes that let the Lab scale. This is what makes it last, and it is the heart of the role.
Who you are
You are a self starter who wants real ownership and will take it. You are AI fluent and use it naturally in how you work. You write and speak well, and you are comfortable being the warm, human voice of a technical product. You are fluent in German and English, both of which you will use daily with our members.
You like people and you earn their trust quickly. You can put yourself in a device owner's shoes, so you understand why someone feels uneasy when a startup wants to steer the expensive hardware they just installed, and you know that a little honesty and care at the right moment settles it.
You can quickly grasp what Podero does and explain it simply, and you bring a genuine curiosity about energy and technology. Bonus points for an interest in energy or climate, or any experience in community building, outreach, or customer success.
What is in it for you
You own something real from day one. It is yours to build, with the freedom to shape how it works and the visible impact of unblocking one of the company's biggest bottlenecks.
You learn how a fast moving energy startup actually operates, from the inside, working directly with our business and engineering teams rather than watching from the sidelines.
You get energy flexibility fluent fast. You will come out understanding a market that sits at the centre of the energy transition, knowledge that is genuinely scarce and increasingly in demand.
You build a track record. If it goes well, there is a strong chance of extension, and you will have a concrete, ownable achievement to point to rather than a vague internship line on your CV.
