Who You’ll Work For:

At Makersite, we're pioneering the future of sustainable product development and digital collaboration. As a leading platform for product lifecycle management (PLM), we empower companies to make smarter, more sustainable decisions across their entire supply chain. Our cutting-edge software enables teams to design, prototype, and manufacture with transparency, efficiency, and responsibility—reducing environmental impact while optimizing performance.

We're a fast-growing, innovative company that thrives on creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning. If you're passionate about technology, sustainability, and creating meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you. Join us and be a part of shaping the future of manufacturing and product innovation.

Who we're looking for:

As part of our growing team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of sustainable product development. We’re looking for innovative, driven Directors of Implementations who are passionate about technology and sustainability to join us in building tools that enable companies to make smarter, more responsible decisions. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented professionals, contribute to cutting-edge projects, and help drive the digital transformation of industries worldwide. If you're ready to make an impact and contribute to meaningful change, we want to hear from you!

This role is a fixed, permanent position. All successful applicants will need to reside in Germany with legal working permits or residence permits.

The role:

  • Operational Excellence & SOP Development:
Establish, document, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the Implementation department. Ensure SOPs are embedded into day-to-day workflows, consistently enforced, and reinforced through repetition to drive efficiency, quality, and predictability in delivery.

  • Process Control & Continuous Improvement:
Assess current implementation processes, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and create sustainable systems to eliminate waste and rework. Balance the need for structure with the flexibility required in a rapidly scaling organization.

  • Metrics, Capacity Planning & Performance Management:
Define and track key performance metrics for project delivery, team utilization, and customer outcomes. Build scalable capacity planning models to align resources with business growth and project demand.

  • Leadership & Team Development:
Develop and mentor a high-performing management team. Identify and nurture emerging leaders, evolving subject-matter experts into team leads and creating additional management capacity to support scaling operations.

  • Project Delivery Oversight:
Oversee project execution standards, ensuring consistent delivery quality even in an environment with varying levels of project management experience. Implement coaching and training programs to elevate project management capability across the team.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with Customer Success, Product, and Operations to ensure implementations are delivered on time, within scope, and to customer satisfaction—reducing internal friction and supporting overall business growth.

Job requirements

  • Proven Leadership Experience:
    3–5 years in a
manager-of-managers role within a software implementation or systems integration environment, demonstrating the ability to lead, mentor, and scale multi-level teams effectively.

  • Strong Process Orientation:
Background in process-driven, quality-focused organizations (e.g., global system integrators such as TCS, Capgemini, Hitachi). Skilled at designing, refining, and institutionalizing repeatable delivery frameworks.

  • Expert in Implementation Management:
Deep understanding of software or technology implementation lifecycles, including project governance, delivery methodologies, and customer success alignment. Industry-specific experience is not required—excellence in implementation leadership is.

  • Escalation Management Expertise:
Skilled in defining and operationalizing clear escalation frameworks. Capable of training managers and teams on when and how to escalate, setting thresholds, and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently with proper visibility.

  • Operational & Analytical Acumen:
Experienced in metrics creation, capacity planning, and performance management. Able to translate data into actionable insights to improve delivery efficiency and resource utilization.

  • Change Leadership in Fast-Scaling Environments:
Comfortable bringing structure and accountability to a rapidly growing organization. Balances strategic oversight with a hands-on approach to process improvement and team coaching.

  • Strong Communication & Influence Skills:
Able to enforce standards and drive accountability in a positive, motivating way. Builds trust across teams, fosters collaboration, and influences without unnecessary escalation or conflict.

  • Customer-Centric Mindset:
Committed to ensuring implementation quality directly translates to improved customer experience and long-term satisfaction.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary – We reward your skills and experience with a compensation package that reflects your value.

  • 30 Days Paid Time Off – Take the time you need to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

  • Remote-First Flexibility – Work from anywhere in Germany, with the option to collaborate in person at our offices in Stuttgart, Berlin (role dependent).
