Junior Technical Support Engineer - EV Charging Platform
IT, Customer Service
Copenhagen, Denmark
The power grid is changing faster than the software running it. Renewables are flooding supply, prices swing wildly, and millions of EV batteries sit idle on driveways every night, completely disconnected from the markets that need them most. Enkel is the platform that closes that gap. We integrate directly with energy markets and connect distributed EV assets to the grid in real time - turning idle batteries into a network. For consumers, that means lower bills and earnings from their car. For grid operators, it means distributed flexibility at scale, without building a single new power plant. We are a team with deep roots in energy markets, software, engineering and mathematics. Based in Copenhagen, we are building the connection between consumers and the grid: a layer that every stakeholder in the energy transition needs.
We are looking for a Junior Technical Support Engineer to join our Copenhagen office, working directly next to our operations team.
What you will do:
- Investigate real EV charging issues involving chargers, vehicles, customers, backend systems, logs, databases, and internal tools
- Work with Linux, SQL, PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, Go, Rust, Python, Google Cloud where relevant, OCPP-style charger communication, internal admin tools, scripts, logs, metrics, and automation
- Use modern AI coding tools to help with specification, debugging, testing, refactoring, and tool-building
- This is a customer-facing technical role. The work is roughly 60% customer/operations support and troubleshooting, and 40% engineering, bugfixing, tooling, and automation
What you bring:
- Hands-on programming experience and some Linux terminal confidence
- Basic database/SQL experience, and a strong interest in diagnosing real-world issues
- Previous EV charging or energy-market experience is not required
- You are comfortable supporting customers in both Danish and English
What we offer:
- Real customer-facing technical experience on a live EV charging platform
- Work where software, support, and physical infrastructure meet
- Practical exposure to Linux, SQL, Go/Rust/Python, PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, and AI coding agents
- Close collaboration with operations support and experienced engineers
- Experience debugging production issues that affect real customers
- Exposure to energy, EV charging, optimisation, operations, and deep tech
This role is suitable for a student, early-career developer, or self-taught programmer who wants serious exposure to production systems and customer-impacting technical issues.
We know great candidates come from many different paths and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
